Who do I contact concerning utility service in Eufaula?
Answer:
Eufaula is served by several utilities:
· Water/sewer disposal service is provided by the Eufaula Water Works and
Sewer Board, 687-1225. In outlying areas, water service is provided by Cowikee
Water Authority, 687-6333, and Baker Hill Water Authority, 687-6444.
· Alabama Power Company provides electrical service within the city limits,

· Cable television is provided by Brighthouse Networks, 1-866-876-1872.
· Bellsouth is the local telephone provider, 557-6500.
· Natural gas service is provided by Southeast Alabama Gas District, 687-3410.
· Two propane gas distributors are located in Eufaula: Gala Gas, 687-2603;

The Public Works Department handles pickup of trash/garbage. They can be reached at 687-1236.

The Animal Control Officer can be reached at the Eufaula Animal Shelter, 687-1234; complaints can also be made with the Eufaula Police Department, 687-1200.

The City of Eufaula has an ordinance that prohibits animals from running at large. It is enforced by the Animal Control Division of the Eufaula Police Department.

Where do I pay a traffic fine?
Answer:
If your traffic citation was issued by the Eufaula Police Department, you may pay your fine at the Eufaula Municipal Court Magistrate’s Office located at 545 East Barbour Street. Hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. They may be reached by telephone at 687-1235.

What is the process to divide or rezone property located within the city limits?
Answer:
Persons wishing to subdivide or rezone property must submit an application to the Eufaula Planning Commission. The Commission meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. in the Municipal Courtroom. What is the process for obtaining a license to operate a business from my home?
Answer:
Persons wishing to operate a business from their home located in a residentially zoned district must make application to the Board of Zoning Adjustment for approval of a home occupation. The Board of Zoning Adjustment meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in the Municipal Courtroom. Applications must be submitted in advance and receive staff review prior to presentation to the Commission. For more information, contact the Building/Planning Department at 688-2008.

Answer:
