Recycling

The mission of the Eufaula Recycle Center is to provide a central location for citizens to drop off all recyclable materials and to further educate citizens on the economic and environmental importance of recycling.

Recyclable Material Drop-Off

Any approved items can be dropped off at The Eufaula Recycling Center which is located at 560 East Boundary Street or at either one of the other convenient drop-off sites which are located at the Eufaula Water Board and the Community Center. The Eufaula Recycling Center also is able to provide courtesy cardboard pickups to all local businesses. The Eufaula Recycling Center accepts a wide range of recyclable materials which include:

  • Aluminum cans
  • Cardboard
  • Magazines
  • Mixed papers (all other types of paper that is not newspaper or magazines)
  • Newspaper
  • Number 1 and 2 plastics (numbers are usually located on the bottom inside a recycling symbol)
  • Tin cans
  • Used motor oil

History

The Eufaula Recycle Center was established in 1992 with only one drop off location and has since grown to have three drop off locations throughout the city and also provides over 70 businesses with cardboard pickup services. The center has also recently started a Bio-diesel program that services all the vehicles for public works that use diesel fuel.

  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Veteran’s Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas Day
